Just a bit of detail on some new, and some not-so-new, projects I’m working on.
NYC Twestival Volunteer
I am involved in the 2010 NYC Twestival, a fundraising drive that uses Twitter in various ways to acquire funds for charity, in a pro-bono capacity. This year, the NYC fundraiser will come by way of a gigantic party at Good Units on March 25, and tickets will go on sale soon.
The drive seeks to raise funds for Concern Worldwide, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing suffering and ending extreme poverty in some of the world’s poorest places. “Where and how?” Go here.
Specifically, aside from encouraging my friends, acquaintances, and clients to think about being a sponsor, or to think about presenting our sponsorship offer to their friends, acquaintances, or clients, I’ll be promoting the event in the media and on social networks. All proceeds from ticket sales go to Concern, so we need sponsors to cover the cost of the venue and other associated expenses.
Further details:
Press Contact For Financial Services Company
Being the U.S. press contact for Quod Financial, a financial services company that provides adaptive execution technology, via a proprietary platform, to banks, funds, and other market participants, has kept me busy since the beginning of March.
The short of it: Quod’s software mines liquidity that is, for one reason or another, highly fragmented. Which, nowadays, a lot (most?) of it is. E-mail me if you’re interested in learning more about technology of this nature or want to talk market trends or regulation.
Actual Journalism
I will need to find time to finish an article about the job-creation potential of the energy-efficiency sector and attend this environmental expo, both for Green Technology Daily.
Content-Management Projects
I manage content for a healthcare company’s blog and a law firm’s Twitter feed. So feel free to send me ideas for content that might work well on either of these sites.
